As long as you have not yet turned in your GS form, you will still have the opportunity to make changes to your manuscript. The final version of your manuscript uploaded to ProQuest at the time of your "Accepted" email will be the version available in the Cal State LA Library Digital Repository and in any hardcopies that you order from ProQuest. Only your department may require a defense or presentation; the Office of Graduate Studies does not oversee this part of your culminating project.

The GS Form is one of the more important forms you will complete during your graduate studies. Please plan accordingly. They should give you enough time to make final changes to your manuscript for final upload by this deadline. Click on "PDF" in the menu on the left.

Explore here. In Fall , the Graduate College will shift to electronic committee verification of all theses and dissertations submitted via ProQuest. Committee members will no longer need to sign the Report of Thesis Approval—to verify the thesis—prior to deposit with the Graduate College.
Instead, committee members will now receive an email that provides a link to the final version of the thesis and directs them to verify the manuscript. Committee verification will now follow the Graduate College format review, not precede it as it used to.
Graduate Thesis and Dissertation Handbook
Verification is a required step in the thesis approval process. Committee review of the thesis should not change. Students will still defend, work closely with their committee to finalize the thesis, and then submit the thesis to the Graduate College for format review. What has changed is that students will no longer need to submit a signed Report of Thesis Approval with their thesis deposit.
Committee verification will be collected electronically after the Graduate College format review is complete.
